What you CAN determine without exact time

• Planetary signs (mostly): The Sun, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn move slowly, so their sign placements usually stay the same across a day.
• Your Rashi (Moon sign) — usually: The Moon changes sign roughly every 2.25 days, so unless you were born near a sign change, your Rashi is likely determinable.
• Broad planetary relationships: Many sign-based combinations remain valid.

What becomes uncertain

• Lagna (Ascendant): Changes every ~2 hours, so without an accurate time it cannot be fixed reliably.
• House placements: Since houses are counted from the Lagna, all house-based predictions become approximate.
• Precise Dasha timing: The Vimshottari Dasha depends on the Moon's exact degree, so exact period dates can drift.
• Doshas that depend on houses: Because Manglik Dosha and similar are house-based, an uncertain Lagna makes them uncertain too.

Traditionally, a technique called birth-time rectification is used — working backward from known life events to estimate the birth time. This is skilled work and produces an estimate, not a certainty.
